The I-64 Bridge Re-Opens Update 2/20/2012 The I-64 Ohio River bridge at Louisville has re-opened just in time for the SOS! Attendees traveling from the west should have no trouble getting to the show. The Show of Shows is just one week away! The Show of Shows is just one week away and I am looking forward to seeing all of you there! The long range weather forecast is looking pretty good with temperatures in the low to mid 50s. Hopefully, we will not have to worry about ice and snow this year. Lets keep our fingers crossed. All preparations are on track and everything looks to be a "GO!" For those folks on the Wednesday table set up crew, please report to the lobby between 11 am and 12:30 pm for your wrist band and team assignment. We will start the first (RED) team to work at 1 pm. I must remind all our table holders that you are expected to remain setup and prepared to do business until 3:00 pm on Saturday. Those table holders that choose to pack up early are reminded that they will not be guaranteed their tables or current table location. They will be put on next years waiting list and will be sold tables as they become available. Please make your plans accordingly. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) has requested and received an informational table at the SOS. We are told that the agents will be there to clarify the rules for our members and help to show how the BATF works. Our show participants have always been responsible in following all local, state and federal gun and ordnance regulations (although they may have been a little shaky on that alcohol and tobacco thing). Please review your sales stock to make sure it is in complete compliance with the law. The society will again be providing trash bags to our table holders. Please be respectful to your neighbors and bag your trash. I personally appreciate your cooperation. I wish everyone a safe and trouble free journey to Louisville and a successful, profitable Show of Shows! Best regards, Bill Combs, OVMS President
