Show of Shows
The OVMS has lost three very good patrons of the Show of Shows. Pictured above from left to right are
Russell Geeskie, Bruno Tanda, and Harry Menestrina along with son Larry Menestrina. Russell, Bruno
and Harry all passed away due to illnesses between February 2011 and March 2013. Bruno, Russell
and Harry were from Anderson, Indiana and attended the SOS regularly with Harry’s son Larry Menes-
trina. Harry, Russell and Larry were getting ready for their annual trip to Louisville last February when
Harry became ill and passed away on February 22. Son Larry buried his father on the day they were to
drive to the show on February 27th; Russell passed away three weeks later on March 16, 2013. Harry
a World War II veteran, would enjoy sitting at his son Larry’s table and sign copies of photographs he
took with his old box camera during military service in the European theater. Especially popular was the
one of him as a Military Policeman sitting on a Harley Davidson. Bruno, Harry and Russell had many
friends at the SOS and will be sadly missed. Submitted by Larry Menestrina.
